Research at the University of Missouri discovered that the masculine risk-taking behaviour that can lead to injury can also help men recover more quickly, thanks to traits such as the ability to withstand hardship.

WHEN NAUGHTY MET SPORTY

Regular structured exercise, particularly running could help keep rowdy children under control according to researchers at Loughborough University . A three-year study of 11,000 youngsters –who struggled with school work or behaved badly-revealed that 73 per cent of those who did extra sport classes were better behaved than usual. School attendance, punctuality and respect towards adults also improved.

As Exercisers, we know as well as anyone that the human body is at it’s best when it’s in motion. But it’s a fact of modern life that, for many of us, long spells of our daily lives are spent sitting down, and this can spell trouble for our health and our fitness. Deep-vein thrombosis (DVT) is the obvious results of a sedentary life and the fitter you are the more at risk you are for sitting for long periods, due to the slower blood movement. So make a note to move around at work a little more, get out of your seat and walk around the office just to prevent the blood clotting.
