21ST CENTURY LIFE & FITNESS
Good health and fitness are often referred to as a great gift, but is that really true?
I rather think not. Good health and fitness are the inevitable result of sensible eating habits and plenty of exercise. Can you really expect to be fit and healthy if you eat junk food, smoke and drink to excess and spend most of your life in front of a computer, watching TV, or in bed. Is that an extreme case? Not really when you consider that most people spend seven or eight hours at work often hunched over a computer, with a telephone screwed into their ear or in similar bad posture situation. They probably spend an hour or so getting to and from work, another seven or eight hours in bed, 3-4 hours watching TV in the evening either at home or in the local pub. That’s 20-21 hours a day and we haven’t even thought about eating or food preparation time. Scary! But it is the reality or 21 st century life so many people live.
This is not what we were designed for, we are supposed to be active, outdoor creatures covering many miles a day on foot, burning off everything we eat. Few of us would suffer from backache, or neck and shoulder pain. We would have supple well stretched muscles with strong backs and good spine.
You owe it to yourself to find out as much as you possibly can to improve your lifestyle.
